📍 Natural extension of Somo • 1.7km of sand • Quieter peaks, great for learning
🌊 Merges with Somo at low tide. Less crowded than the main Somo peak.

🌊 Needs 10ft+ swells to work. Best for whitewater beginners when it's small.

Liencres Natural Park
📍 Wild dunes + pine forest. Two beaches:
• Canallave — Smaller, rockier, fast tubular waves. Rising low tide = best tubes.
• Valdearenas — Huge sandy expanse, powerful and consistent. Intermediate/advanced.
🌊 Very exposed, collects all the swell. S wind = offshore. Strong currents — not for beginners when it's on.

Los Locos (Suances)
📍 Legendary. Natural amphitheater surrounded by cliffs • Declared Surf Reserve
🌊 Multiple right/left peaks, hollow and powerful. Rising mid-tide is magic. Handles NE wind well (summer saver).

Merón Beach (San Vicente de la Barquera)
📍 All levels. Immense beach inside Oyambre Natural Park.
🌊 Surf with views of Picos de Europa. Very consistent, works even with small swells. Ideal in southerly winds.

Santander spots face east → need wrap-around W-NW swells. Somo faces north → more consistent.
When NE wind blows (common summer), Los Locos is your shelter. S wind = offshore everywhere.
Somo = your daily driver. Liencres when you want power. Los Locos when you want to get humbled.
